Sports Fun with a difference for ALL the Kids at your Centre It’s fun and games with a difference for children of all ages with our Giant Soccer Ball, Giant Rocket Launcher, Ball & Sprint Speeds and of course our Crazy Chooks. What does it cost? $250 for 2 hours or $310 for 3 hours. All other questions are answered further below Speed activities usually include throwing, soccer or footy kicks, tee ball slog, tennis serve and running. The most popular speed activity by far is always "How Fast Can You Chuck the Chook" Every child has their own squawking rubber chook to chuck. All chooks have a name so be prepared for some noisy fun as the children get acquainted with Noodles, Crazy, Drumstick, Snack-Pack, Cackles, Kay-Ef-See, Egg-Head, Nugget, Dip-Stick, Bonkers, Chicky-Babe, Wing Nut, Astro-Chook, Chick-A-Dee and more! Each child will also receive a “speed ticket” with their name and chook chuck speed recorded. For children who enjoy a challenge we bring a board with the ball speed records for their own age. These records have been built up over several years and all are simply incredible! As the children take turns with activities we have come up with a format to suit both you and them. For example at a 2 hour booking involving say 30 children we have you split them up into 3 groups of 10. Each group; usually of similar age; then spends 40 minutes with us. This works well as the time between turns is always kept very short and we can ensure the fun level is suited to each age group. Usually we have the youngest group first. Due to their tender age we make sure their activities are kept very easy-to-do. The last group is the "big kids". As they are more coordinated and competitive their activities are more challenging The above is just an example. While the "ideal" is 12 children every 40 minutes it is possible to vary the number of groups, the number in each group and the time allocated. We have successfully operated this format in many centres with numbers of children ranging from 20 up to 130. Carers can also join in the fun anytime. But remember if you're beaten by the kids there's no place to hide! How much does it cost? $250 for 2 hours;$310 for 3 hours then $55 per hour. Gst included, Our coordinator arrives to set up approx 1 hour before the start time. Pack up is approx 30 minutes. You only pay for the activity time not the setup/packup Most morning bookings start at approx 9am-10am and afternoon bookings start at approx 2pm. Won't stray balls cause damage? With ball speed activities the balls are thrown, kicked or hit from directly in front of our speed booth. We do not give the children the room or opportunity to miss. Our activities are best enjoyed outdoors on grass. A 50m long x 20m wide area is the ideal but we have run our activities in lot smaller areas. Yes but is not as much fun as need to modify activities for the children's safety.What if it is raining or it is likely to rain? If you have a large undercover area or sports hall it is not a problem. You also have the option of postponing or cancelling. Yes.Do you have liability insurance cover? Yes. We have $10 million public liability insurance cover.Do we need to supply the sports equipment? No. Do the children need to wear special clothing? We suggest a sun hat and enclosed shoes suitable for kicking and running.How do you measure the speeds? We use the same technology used at Wimbledon and at Test Cricket for measuring ball speeds. This equipment can measure the speed of almost anything that moves.
