The children will never get through all these activities but at least they are never short on choices. The most popular activity by far is always "How Fast Can You Chuck the Chook" Every child has their own squawking rubber chook to chuck. All chooks have a name so be prepared for some noisy fun as the children get acquainted with Noodles, Snack-Pack, Cackles, Kay-Ef-See, Egg-Head, Nugget, Dip-Stick, Chicky-Babe, Astro-Chook, Chick-A-Dee and many, many more! Each child will also receive a “speed ticket” with their name and chook chuck speed recorded. For those children who love a real challenge we bring along a board which has speed records for all the the ball sports for their own age. These speed records have been built up over several years and many are simply incredible! If any of your children can beat our records we will be very, very impressed. As the children do take turns with the activities and you generally have a large number of children in your care we have come up with a special format to suit both you and them. For example at a 2 hour booking involving say 30 children we have you split them up into 3 groups of 10. Each group; usually of similar age; then spends 40 minutes with us. This works very well as the time between turns is kept short and we can ensure the fun level is suited to each age group.
Please note the above is only an example and it is possible to vary the number of groups, the number in each group and the time allocated. We have successfully operated this format in centres with the total number of children ranging from as low as 12 up to 130 Usually we have the youngest group come to us first. Because of their young age their fun is kept very easy-to-do with lots of variety. The last group is generally the “big kids”. Since they are more coordinated and competitive we make sure their fun is more challenging. Our sports fun is not just for the children. Carers can join in the fun anytime. But be warned. If the children beat your speed there will be no place to hide! As we usually visit one centre a day spaces can be limited so please book early. How much does it cost? For Brisbane, Ipswich & Gold Coast centres - $255 for 2 hours or $310 for 3 hours. Gst included For Sunshine Coast & Toowoomba centres - $285 for 2 hours or $340 for 3 hours. Gst included Your Sports Fun coordinator arrives to set up approx 1 hour before the start time. Pack up is approx 30 minutes. For a 3 hour booking this will be approx 4½ hours. You only pay for the activity time not the setup/packup Most morning bookings start approx 9am - 9-30am and afternoon bookings start approx 1.30pm - 2pm. Won't stray balls cause damage? Balls are either thrown, kicked or hit by the children from directly in front of the booth. We do not give them any room or an opportunity to miss the booth. There are absolutely no stray balls! The Sports Party booth area required is 2.4m wide and 4m deep. The children need another 3m in front of the booth as run up space. Yes. We do modify activities slightly on the harder surface for the children's safety.What if it is raining or it is likely to rain? If you have an undercover area to fit the Sports Fun booth it is not a problem. You also have the option of postponing or cancelling. Yes.Do you have liability insurance cover? Yes. We have $10 million public liability insurance cover.Do we need to supply the sports equipment? No. Do the children need to wear special clothing? We suggest a sun hat and covered shoes suitable for kicking in.How do you measure the speeds? We use the same technology used at Wimbledon and at Test Cricket for measuring ball speeds. This equipment can measure the speed of almost anything that moves.
