An Aussie Sport Party involves heaps of fun activities and games children can play in a local park or a big backyard. What does it cost? This and all your other questions are answered further below. For our "Last Minute" Specials ; After-School and School Holiday special rates click here Because of their tender age we make sure 6-8 year olds party activities are very "easy to do" with loads of variety and fun. The party fun activities they get to play include:SPEED GAMES - This is individual fun where each child can see how fast they can throw, kick, hit and more into our sports speed booth. Some of the favourites are soccer, footy, tee-ball, rocket launcher and throwing the "magic ball". A list of the speed activity choices is below. As these activities happen within the booth there are NO stray balls! GIANT SOCCER BALL FUN - When this 1 metre size ball is brought out the children's first reaction is "WOW" before they all charge towards it. It is then a "mad minute" as they all kick, push and jump on it at the same time! When they settle down they have fun with goal kicks, distance kicks, "soccer train" and partner up for a time trial challenge. They can even have a soccer match if they really want to. CRAZY CHOOK GAMES - The kids absolutely love the fun games we have created with the humble rubber chicken. As every child gets their very own squawking chook it will get very noisy. So be warned! The fun activities include "speedy chook", "chook chuck, "astro chook", "chook hugs" plus the hilariously funny "raining chickens" and "chicken run" Every child will also get a "speed ticket" when they find out just how fast they can chuck that chook!. We will also gather the children and their chickens (plus the giant soccer ball) together for you for that special party photo moment. OUTDOOR GAMES - It's team and group activity fun out in the open spaces with either sack races, target games, relay races and running races. Since most parties are either 90 minutes or 2 hours long they never get through all our activities choices. But we do make sure they enjoy their favourites and especially those your birthday child really loves to do e.g. soccer kick speed.Because some children are easily distracted, particularly 5 and young 6 year olds, we accept they may drift in and out of the activities. Most will stick with the fun but for those who don’t we are happy for them to come and go as they please. Our coordinator will not force them to stay and join in but will ensure they have a great time when they do. By the way this fun is not just for children. How much does it cost? Do you do parties after school? Yes. Generally with a 3.30pm or 4pm start.How many children should I invite? We recommend no less than 6 and no more than 15. The "ideal" number is 12. We have done parties with approx 20 children and find it definitely does slow down activities which causes restlessness then loss of interestWon't the balls damage the garden? No. The only risk is from the big soccer ball but we will not bring it if it is of concern. All other balls are either thrown, kicked or hit from directly in front of the Speed booth. We do not give the children the opportunity to miss the booth. The Speed booth area required is 2.4m wide and 10m deep. Yard games need at least 30m length and 10m width but we have worked with less. 70% of our parties are held in parks, 20% on large properties and the remainder in backyards Yes but we do have modify some activities for the children's safety.Can you stop for food and drinks? We will plan the fun around your requirements. You can have a short break between sessions or even a half time break. Sometimes the food and drinks are setup near the Speed booth so the children can literally graze while having fun.What if it is raining or it is likely to rain? A brief shower is not a problem but a constant downpour is. Should bad weather be expected you can postpone or cancel. If it is a backyard party and there is room for the Speed booth under the patio or in the garage we can still proceed. The party is then mainly about having speed fun. We have successfully done many such parties. Yes.Do you have liability insurance cover? Yes. We have $10 million public liability insurance cover.Do I need to supply the sports equipment? No. Do the children need to wear special clothing? We suggest a sun hat and covered shoes suitable for kicking in.Can older and younger children join in the fun? YesHow do you measure the speeds? We use the same technology used at Wimbledon and at Test Cricket for measuring ball speeds. This equipment can measure the speed of almost anything that moves. The children can see how fast they are instantly on our large speed display board which we setup directly behind the Sports Party booth. No. If you wish to hand out prizes we recommend it be done at the end of the party. If done during the party we find that children do stress out over when or if they will get a prize.
